I have a very diverse classroom of upper elementary students who come from upper middle to poverty level homes. Some students read on level and above level but 50% struggle to meet the state specified reading level in order to succeed. The students at my school have limited experience in life and have not traveled far from their homes/community. The students at my school love to come to school and love to learn because we provide a safe, warm and caring environment for all students.
