My students are on average 16 and in the 10th grade taking their second math course in high school. 52% of my school's population is on free or reduced price lunch, so getting school supplies is very difficult especially when asking for expensive items like graph paper and compasses. My students are very diverse in ethnicity because we are a military community and have students moving in and out on a monthly basis.
