My school is a Title 1 school, we have about 84% free and reduced lunches, the community we are in is a hardworking, lower to middle class area with 30% transiency rate. Most of my students have parents that work more than one job to support their families and some are often raised by a grandparent or another family member. My student's struggle with many things that I have never known nor could understand, however; in our building and my class we try to make it as positive and warm of an environment so they can focus on learning rather than all the other stuff they are facing. My class will be a safe place in this world for them, always. Please help me allow for this dream to continue!
