I want my students to challenge the norm and to create a desire in them to change the world for the better, starting with their own lives. I am beginning by opening their minds to what is going on around them and to challenge their perceptions of what is right and what is wrong. This year I am teaching a Social Justice class that consists of twenty-five juniors in a low income high school. This is the perfect forum to affect change.
