My school has a very diverse population. We have students of all races, social classes, and backgrounds. Our campus faced some difficulties at the beginning of the year. We dealt with violence, personal harm, and suicide, among other issues. Even with the issues we have dealt with the students on our campus are constantly looking for a way to make a difference. This year, a few of my previous students, began a club called the Awareness Leadership Campaign. The club is dedicated to bringing awareness to various teen issues on our campus, such as teen pregnancy, suicide, and bullying. Also, the sophomore students are working on Personal Projects. The students are dedicated to finding various issues within their communities, city, state, globally, and finding ways to contribute to the solution to these problems. As a teacher, I am looking for ways to help students have access to the knowledge they need to accomplish this vast task.
