Our school is using Google Classroom, and since the COVID-19 pandemic hit, our state has gone to 100% distance learning. Google Classroom has a Google Meet feature, and every morning we have a morning meeting online. Some of my students now have older/broken Chromebooks with no camera, or with missing keys, or a cracked screens. Some cannot access our online learning at all except on their parent's phone. With new Chromebooks, all my students would be able to access our online meetings, turn in their assignments on Google Classroom, and communicate with me and other students, even though they are stuck at home because of the pandemic. With these devices, all my students would be able to fully participate in distance learning. The Chromebooks that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional online options, to make more effective learning choices. They would eliminate the frustration of not being seen in our morning meetings. They would allow the students to use all the keys on their keyboards, and they would allow me to see the joy on my students' faces through a working camera on their device.
