My students are 13 and 14 year old eighth graders. In this eighth grade science class we learn about rocks and minerals, cells and body systems. I see approximately 120 students throughout the day over five class periods. My students have a great range of abilities including those with IEP's and those who are gifted. Many of these are included in the same class periods. Our junior high has seventh and eighth grade with a population of almost 900 students. We have a moderate level of low-income students which has been steadily increasing over the last couple of years.
