My nearly fifty students come from a rural community (the border towns of Hildale, Utah and Colorado City, Arizona) that has had major cultural, economic, and moral hardships over the years (to say the least!). Many of my students were denied a decent education for years and are scrambling to make up for lost time. Our school is in its fourth year now after being closed for thirteen! The area is making major strides in a positive direction. They deserve a better education and Water Canyon School and my classroom are doing our level best to deliver!
