My students are extremely dedicated 5th graders, who come from a variety of backgrounds! Our school is extremely diverse, with students representing over twenty different countries. We have worked extremely hard this year to instill in our students the need for strong class community, and the power of character development in schools! Our elementary school is working hard to change our students for the better. One of the ways we are beginning to do this is through the use of class meetings. Our children deserve a voice, and this is exactly what I want to provide for my students. It is my job to help them learn to stand up for what they believe in, and articulate their thoughts in a socially appropriate manner! These skills are easily incorporated and learned through class meetings! My students enjoy the opportunity to not only solve classroom problems, but compliment one another during these learning experiences!
