Living in rural Alabama means that my class of kindergarten students come to me from varied socio-economic backgrounds. Some of these sweet kiddos have not had many experiences outside of the area we live in. However, they come in like sponges ready to soak up any knowledge and experiences that I can offer them. These kids are motivated, intrigued, and ready to learn. Their varied backgrounds mean they all come in with their own personalities and beliefs. Throughout the class year we work to form a community of kids that have a love for learning and each other. Any donations or materials to support this endeavor will be appreciated by myself, my students, my school, and my community.
