Some students with disabilities need the sense of security that a visual schedule gives. Small, color pictures on a Velcro chart help them keep track of what's coming next in their day. A selfie of me lets them know when I will be coming to work with them. All students need attractive images of things they have never seen before to help them learn. My students are city kids. Some of them confuse a horse and a cow. I try to use pictures as much as possible to help them understand new concepts. A plethora of new activities can be gotten online, but they aren't very exciting if they are all printed in black and white. Thank you for bringing the color back to my students!
