My students range from the ages of five to eleven years old. They attend school in a diverse, urban community where most students come from low-income families. The student population enjoys the school's physical education program. Over the years, we have continually tried to improve the program to satisfy their needs. My students have shown interest in activities involving short-handled and long-handled implements. Hockey, racquet sports, and golf are some of their favorite activities to play during physical education.
