My students are curious learners from a neighborhood school in Alabama. A large portion of our school population participates in the federal free or reduced lunch program. As a STEAM-focused school, we emphasize project-based learning which allows students to engage in authentic learning experiences, particularly those that integrate science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics. The goal is develop a growth mindset in our students that emphasizes problem-solving and critical thinking.
