In our Social Emotional Learning Class we have been breaking down The Game of Life, where students had to make choices based on the game, but not physically play it. We looked at the pros and cons of going to college, getting married, having children, buying stock/investing, and owning or renting a home. We had many entertaining and engaging conversations about their futures. Many of the children have never played the actual game. This is a way to build on the lessons plus have them engage in something with their families besides an electronic device.
