I have a special education class of students whose ages range from 14 to 17 years of age. The students have emotional as well as educational issues. Most of these kids have been in special education programs their whole lives. They are wonderful kids, but by the time we get to see them, there is a certain attitude of entitlement. In other words, it is tough for these kids to learn to give outside themselves with just a feeling of knowing they have done something good.

About my class
