We are a lucky at our school because most of our homerooms have personal Chromebooks. Their lessons are posted to their Google Classroom accounts. Projects are created and submitted on their Chromebooks. TTests are taken and grades are shared on their Chromebooks. Unfortunately, the resource classrooms do not have a class-sized set of Chromebooks to assist the students in their enrichment/remediation classes. Students love technology and what better way to help them learn than computers? Two more Chromebooks would give my students the opportunity to be able to complete their math activities needed to gain math fluency. We use Chromebooks to complete Zearn lessons during math class, as well as explore enrichment opportunities through Khan Academy and Prodigy. The Chromebooks are used to research Social Studies Fair projects, edit entries for Media Festival projects, coding and exploring primary sources for our thematic units. Students retain more when they have access to real world information/technology and are having fun!
