I live in a large military community in North Carolina where the public schools serve many federally-connected students and many military spouses are employed by the school system. Brave soldiers come through our doors on a daily basis and those we do not see, because they are fighting overseas, are our heroes. Currently, I am working at a school where 100% of the students receive NO COST breakfast and lunch. My school does not have an active PTA. Therefore, fund raising dollars are extremely limited and my school operates on a tight budget.

About my class
