Students will be engaged in working together in small groups or as individuals in designing masks and sashes for a Mardi Gras Pageant. They do not have supplies to create an ambiance of Mardi Gras. But, with the help from DonorsChoose, students will have resources to complete this project. Supplies such as masks can be created with paints, feathers, ribbons, glue, paint brushes, tapes and glitter. After the pageant, students will parade their masks and sashes around the school, discuss with other students on how they were made and post them in the classroom. They will also write thank you cards to the DonorsChoose program for their support.
