Our K-8 School is a wonderfully diverse learning community! We are a Title1 public school with a low socio-economic demographic, where 80% of our student body receives free or reduced lunch. Our students come from a variety of situations, experiences and cultural backgrounds. They represent the U.S., as well as, other countries and regions around the world! Many of our families have limited resources and are unable to purchase basic sports equipment for their children to use at home. Registration fees for organized teams and other physical activities offered outside of the school day are cost prohibitive for them. This makes the experiences my students have in P.E. even more important. Physical education is the only time many have opportunities to hold, handle and manipulate sports equipment.
