1. Students will work with partners to create a goal at the beginning of each nine weeks. They will write that goal in their journal. They will keep a journal writing every day from station to station. Five days a week. There are five stations they will travel to. 2. Station 1 – Yoga, Station 2 Spin Bikes, Station 3, Strength training (exercise ball, jump ropes, tubing) Station 4 Cardio -Weight/Bar Station 5 Barbell, Dumbbells’, Kettlebells Each day the student will write their progress of their exercise and nutrition that they did for the day. At the end of the week they will write day if they met their weekly goal. They will also check for a monthly goal. The students also have a nutrition guide them and their families will be following. They will keep count of calories and the types of food categories and healthy for choices. • During the students Health classes, the students will be learning about the preventing leading causes of death, disease and disability: helminths, tobacco use, HIV/AIDS/STDs, sedentary lifestyle, drugs and alcohol, violence and injuries, unhealthy nutrition. • During their History class the students will learn about building capacities for peace, shelter, education, food, income, a stable ecosystem, equity, social justice, sustainable development. As a professional educator, we want to accomplish the goal of having the students to be able to: • Care for oneself and others • Making healthy decisions and taking control over life's circumstances • Creating conditions that are conducive to health (through policies, services, physical / social conditions) • Influencing health-related behaviors: knowledge, beliefs, skills, attitudes, values, support.
