My students are eager, ready to learn, and a joy to teach. We live in Alabama close to a military base. Many of my students are in the military and only attend school here for a brief time. We also have a lot of English Language Learners in my school. There are many students in my class who are from a low socioeconomic class. At Windham Elementary, we follow the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and are a Leader in Me School. This belief system instills leadership and ownership in students and their behaviors. They are in charge of themselves and how successful they can become.
