Teaching in a STEM focused school, it is fun and fulfilling to find unique ways to inspire students to develop their character and academics. I am very lucky to teach awesome kids in a science inquiry program. I teach Horticulture and Food Science. These programs allow students an in depth look at food from seed to table. Additionally, it gives them an introduction to chemistry and how it relates to the foods we eat. I also work in our building as the PeaceJam advisor. Together with my student members, we are working on projects that make our world a better place. I try to empower students to find creative solutions and funding for our projects. I love going to work each day to work with students who inspire me. They deserve the resources they need to help them thrive and reach their potential.
