Working in a public Title 1 district in Texas means that my students do not have access to resources like Internet at home or a personal library. My students surprise me every day with their flexibility, compassion, and willingness to go above and beyond what is asked of them. My classroom serves as a cooperative learning community, where my students often work collaboratively together in small groups, helping each other navigate through new concepts. My students are positive about their future and constantly keep me on my toes. I try to provide them with lessons that feed their natural curiosity while focusing on learning objectives.
