It is no surprise that Louisiana has one of the least funded educational systems in the United States of America. My students feel this lack of resources and funds every day. Though we have a passionate and supportive charter school environment, the effect of a small statewide education budget means that our students and teachers are forced to make due with fewer resources. Yet, what my students lack in resources, they make up for in spirit and determination. They are curious and resourceful. They are hard workers and big dreamers. They deserve to have the world at their fingertips.

About my class
