My students are wonderful and sassy, completely in love with anything that has to do digital art and media. Our school considers art to be a core curriculum subject, but this is the first year that we have offered photography as a full art subject, not just an elective. I would love to give my students the opportunity for practical studio lighting knowledge as well as photographing what they observe. My students are used to Instagram and Snapchat, they understand digital photographs on screens, but to see a tangible print that they created will help take their work to the next level.
