My school is located in an urban area in Iowa, with a diverse student body. There are 17 elementary schools in the district. The project will take place in a fifth grade classroom that is located in one of the elementary schools. There are approximately 300 students enrolled in the school and they are representative of the ethnic groups that populate the region. Seventy-nine percent of the children are enrolled in the districts free and/or reduced lunch program. The students in my 5th grade classroom are 27 students who love learning and love using technology. They are definitely a technology driven group, and we are using technology daily to enhance our learning. Students use the classroom computers, our two iPads (that we currently have), the dual board, the document camera, and the mobi.
