I teach reading, writing and science daily to 31 vibrant, passionate, hard-working fifth grade students. Each day they come to school with a positive mindset, ready to be academically challenged no matter what their background. My fifth graders are on the quest to college and need more diverse books to celebrate their heritage. I'd love to provide them with a classroom library that celebrates individuals that look like them.
