I teach sixth-grade English language arts at a low-income public middle school in the Mississippi Delta. My students face serious economic hardship and a crippling lack of resources, but still they come to school every day excited about learning and reading. Their growth as readers has been amazing, and every day I am absolutely blown away by their progress.
