Welcome to my page! My name is Mr. Hook, and I teach 7th and 8th grade History in Covina, California. Our students are attentive, eager to learn, and resourceful. As a class, we have examined the impact of the Electoral College, the idea of democracy versus mob rule, and the complexities surrounding states' rights and the Civil War. On a daily basis, we venture beyond the textbook to discuss primary source documents and analyze political cartoons. Our student population includes different nationalities and economic situations, all working towards building a community of trust, compassion, and mutual respect.
