My students are amazing! They are extremely hard-working and thoughtful. They are the Advanced Placement Literature class, and they are desperate to read something current! The class is composed of 25 students in a school of roughly 1500. These young people are truly exceptional. The school is an at-risk, inner-city high school on the South Side of Chicago. These students are great readers, but they do not have handy access to literature or regular encouragement to keep reading.
