A class set of whiteboards will allow my students to quickly write down their mathematical ideas and share them with their classmates. For example, when working on a challenging team problem, an individual student can quickly sketch a graph or write down an equation in a presentable size that she can share with her teammates to create a richer discussion. Collaboration will improve and engagement will increase with these tools. The drawer unit organizers will be placed throughout the classroom so that each math team (set of four students) has easy access to all of the materials they need, including the student whiteboards, textbooks, highlighters, dry erase markers, glue sticks, and scissors. More time will be spent on learning and using the materials rather than cleaning up and transporting supplies.
