I have 40 excited, ambitious, outgoing and eager first graders, each of whom is learning how to read for the very first time. We are a multicultural elementary school in Sunnyvale, California with about 800 students, 70% of which are second language learners. School budgets have been cut in all California schools and for two consecutive years we have lost a lot of funding. Therefore we do not have the funds to update our classroom technology to accommodate the new reading curriculum we implemented this school year.

About my class
