My speech students with apraxia deal with a motor planning disorder every time they attempt to speak. For some, sounds and a few words are all that they have to communicate. My school has Pre-K-5th grade students. Many of the students come from low economic backgrounds and difficult home situations. I feel lucky to be able to work with these kids, making a difference every day. I have 60 plus kids on my caseload, with various speech and language disorders. One such motor speech disorder is apraxia. These Kaufman cards are a great tool to help these kids succeed.
