My class is an energetic, excited group of five and six year-olds that are so eager to learn. Many of them spend time in before and after school care. Some "work" a longer work day than many adults I know. They do not always have someone to read to them. The days of children getting a bedtime story every night are quickly slipping away. It is our job to fill in those gaps.
