My students live in a world where extreme poverty, single parent homes, drug abuse and inordinately high unemployment are far too common. The rural Georgia community in which they reside has a small tax base and funding is an issue even in the best of times. As we all know, these are decidedly not the best of times. However, even in the face of tall challenges, my students are a curious and precocious group who will rise any challenge when properly motivated and equipped.

About my class
