I teach Honors Geometry, Honors PreCalculcus and AP Calculus. These classes elevate my students to be able to compete in a world market. Secondly, they are prominent topics on college entrance exams. In order to do my best in the classroom, I need activities that stimulate the learning process and the retention of material. The FIRST Robotics activities are a wonderful way to enrich my students' lives in a way that I cannot match in the classroom. My students are sophomores, juniors and seniors and are planning for the future by taking more rigorous courses. Many of them come from at-risk backgrounds and need as much support as I can give them. They deserve the best education we can provide and the after school robotics program promotes academic excellence, sportsmanship, organizational skills and creativity.
