Our school is located in a small community in rural Wisconsin. My classroom has a wide variety of students from varying social economic status and abilities. In our classroom we stress the importance of problem solving, sharing our ideas, and creativity. We encourage the children be independent in their learning while actively participating in our community of learning not only in our classroom but globally through the power of technology as well. We have lots of ideas for how to connect with other classrooms and our community through the power of technology. My students also respond very effectively to technology due to the fact that it meets them at their specific learning level and continues to take them further. My integrated special education students seem to find the most success in this area because the lessons can be clearly modified to meet their needs. We are a classroom of learners who are excited to see what we can create with the right tools in our hands.
