My students are great! They are happy, fun loving kids, who come from struggling situations at home but seem to never let that get the best of them. When met with a positive attitude and high expectations, they are driven to succeed. My students are lacking many resources in their homes and therefore, I make it a priority to bring these resources to them in the classroom! Our school is a Title I school funded by the government due to our free and reduced lunch population. We are a neighborhood school in which students are bussed in from many surrounding areas. We have a population of about 500 students that is continually changing. We are a very diverse school with approximately 50% African American, 20% Caucasian, 20% Hispanic and a wide variety of other nationalities in our school.
