My students are a diverse group of second graders who are enthusiastic about learning! Although my classroom has lots of fictional books and stories that we read in guided reading, we have very few non-fiction books! Since the children love Science...what could be more fun than having them read about animals, the earth, plants, or the world around us. Please help by funding this project to provide non-fiction books that we could utilize when teaching Science units about rocks, fossils,insects,plants,balance and motion or when introducing reading strategies for non fiction books. You can be a part of providing materials that will help prepare our students for common core assessments.
