My students are in a unique situation. They are living in a locally historic time period surrounded by a crazy, diverse, and growing culture. There are unique factors from this that create new and big challenges for the children in the area. Many of them are new to the area after leaving what they have been used to for most of their lives (which is likely very different from life here), and because of the nature of this area there will only be more and more significant changes to their lives in the future. I only have a small window of time to try and give them some much needed stability through a passion they can pursue for a lifetime.

About my class
