My students attend a high performing middle school where there is limited funding. Many of my students drive some distance to come to our district and go to a great school. My students were placed in my classes for very specific reasons, mostly because they learn best while moving, singing, collaborating, acting, and designing. My students are bright, kind, and energetic teens. With a six periods of 180 students it can be challenging to meet every student's needs. They like to experience learning in a dramatic and creative way and with that comes the need for constructing an environment to match the learning. A variety of strategies are utilized to keep them moving, learning, and collaborating. Our class has shown great respect and results using theatrical and stage technology daily. Students with learning deficits are excited to learn through the use of the visual and performing arts.
