The students are 34 eager, bright 5th graders with a range of abilities and talents. For many, English is their 2nd language. Twenty students are gifted-identified, 1 has autism, and several have attention-deficit disorders. ALL are fully engaged when interacting with iPads and computers. That's why this iPad donation will be especially helpful. We are a CA suburban school in a large district. Many cultures, religions, and languages are represented in our class. There are only 2 old computers in our classroom so I've been writing grants to obtain iPads. School funding has been cut, so obtaining technology for our students is largely in the hands of the classroom teacher's grant-writing efforts.
