First grade is filled with books of all levels as students are venturing through the world of literature at different paces. My students live in a generation of technology. Our school is a new charter school lacking in financial resources to provide the students with technology to use in the classroom on a daily basis. My class consists of 25 precious, loving, and unique first grade individuals. I can truthfully say each student has a passion for learning. My students are part of a charter school, open for our second year, fostering community, innovation, and passion. We work daily to create students who think creatively and critically and apply their knowledge to their everyday lives. Our school community is filled with a population that values education and works tirelessly to ensure all students have the support necessary to succeed.
