Our school is not only in a very poor district, but many of the students' lives have been severely impacted by drug abuse and violence. All of my students have either an emotional or learning disability, and some of them get free breakfast and lunch at school because there is not always food at home. We have a learning community in our school based on mutual respect between teachers and learners. Our students are respectful to the adults in their lives, who care about them and thankful for all of the things they receive at school that they do not receive at home. They are lively, funny, and have BIG personalities!

About my class
