I am a kindergarten classroom teacher of 25 adorable kiddos from the Fruitvale neighborhood in Oakland, CA. In this historically underserved community, many of my students live in poverty and are challenged by the lack of resources in and outside of their homes. Within our school community, 50% of the student population are English language learners (many new immigrants), and 92% of the students come from low income households. With the help of Donors Choose, I'm committed to providing my students with adequate learning resources so that they can receive high quality, equitable education that will pave their way to a sustainable and successful future.
