I have had the pleasure to be part of 22 bilingual student's lives as their Prekindergarten teacher. It is heartwarming for me to be able to welcome and serve these Spanish speaking students into the "American School System" for their first time in their lives. Even though they attend one of the low socioeconomic schools in the district, their desire to learn is very rich. With the curiosity and the need to make sense of the world, children are motivated to ask questions, explore how things work. They are also discovering the world around them.
