Our students love science and math and the discovery they experience in our experiments, projects, and discussions. Our focus this year is integrating writing and reading into our science and math curriculum and the students are highly motivated to learn when topics are presented through various media. Having an iPad will increase their motivation as they continue to collaborate on various activities and present their findings. Our students also love technology. So the iPad will allow the students to do research in class and create presentations. These performance-based projects will not only help the students foster and fine-tune technology skills through personal experiences, but the students will also have a new opportunity to show their understanding in ways that do not require the use of paper and pencil.
