Our school has great diversity with students coming from various cultures and ethnic backgrounds.Most are economically distadvantaged. For most of our students school is the only enviroment to express themselves creativiely. Many students don't have the basic things such as crayons, glue, paper and scissors at home. Our art classes are integrated with science, math, reading, history and language arts. We are trying to develop the whole brain so that our students will be great contributors to society now and in the future. Art is a unifying language that helps students to become successful communicators. We have 927 students enrolled and I teach all of them. If you could help us to help ourselves it would be greatly appreciated. We are often short on supplies because of the sheer numbers in our large groups class. We have a lot of amazing student artists. We are building a foundation for their futres. Thanks.
