I have the absolute pleasure of teaching low incidence students who are being educated in a self-contained environment, which best meet their individual needs. My student attend a Title I school where a high percentage of the students are on free or reduce lunch. My students have extraordinary talents and they are unique individuals that never allow their disability to hinder them. My students are all stars in their own right. Despite the challenge my student's face they have the potential to learn all the life skills needed to be able to successful be able to transition to a trade and/or higher learning program and be able to live as independently as possible. The only thing that my students need the most is access to the same resources as their non-disabled peers so that they will have a chance to develop to their maximum potential.
