Thanks so much for checking this project out! For the last 9 years, I have been running an after-school program at a CPS school, Hayt Elementary, called Elevate. I designed the program for 7th and 8th graders who I felt had loads of potential as leaders, but tended to channel their energy in the wrong direction. After a week of training and coaching, the young adults become Mentors to 3rd-5th grade students and teach them in groups ranging from homework help to break dancing to foosball to singing to basketball and more. My basketball group in particular really needs these hoops--they've been using hula hoops every week so far! Thank you so much in advance for your support!!
